Ahh
Here is a Coca-Cola website that was featured in my newly arrived Lurzer's Archive (Vol.04-2014). I thought the illustrations were pretty cute and I like the interaction with the buttons. "Behind" each button is a game that you can play, but it leads to another page, which I would have preferred if it was a pop-up kind of page. Based on how the homepage is laid out, you should click on the last button and go to the game page just to look at how long the web address is.

PS: My highscore for the cat laser pointer game is 29. Can you beat it? (shouldn't be too hard :P)

The Drawing Room
What I like about the design of this website is the unconventional diamond layout, as opposed to a normal grid with squares or rectangles. It really makes it eye catching and dynamic do to all the diagonal edges. I also like how the information comes up when you hover over each image as well as the transition between pages. The typefaces used are futura and athelas, which I just discovered and used for the last GDS122 exercise (it was meant to be!).

Architecture for Dogs
When I am designing a website, I tend to be a bit afraid of just using white as the background when the content doesn't span the whole width of the page because it might look to boring and plain. For Architecture for Dogs, the white background really compliments the style of the website and provides a blank canvas for the images. I also really like how the style of the website compliments the style of the furniture for the dogs: clean, modern, and geometric.
